Enrollment FAQ
HOW DO I APPLY?
Complete the short online application. You’ll receive a confirmation once it’s submitted. If you need help at any point, email admissions@candeoschools.com.
WHAT IS OPEN ENROLLMENT?
Open Enrollment is the window for new families to submit applications for the next school year. Applications submitted during the window are included in the lottery. See the Enrollment Timeline for current dates.
What happens if there are more applicants than seats?
We hold a lottery when applications exceed available seats. Students not offered a seat are placed on a waitlist according to lottery number and applicable priority status (e.g., sibling, staff).
How does the lottery work?
Applications submitted during Open Enrollment are randomized. A lottery number is assigned to each application to determine initial offers and the waitlist order. Priority categories (such as siblings of current students) may be applied per policy.
When will offers be sent?
For the 2026–2027 school year: Kindergarten offers are planned for January 5, 2026, and 1st–8th grade offers are planned for January 20, 2026. (Dates are subject to change.)
What are the age requirements for Kindergarten?
Students must be five years old on or before September 1 of the school year they begin Kindergarten, per Arizona law. If you have questions about early entrance, please contact our Enrollment Team.
What documents are required for registration after I receive an offer?
Typically, a birth certificate, proof of Arizona residency (such as a utility bill or lease), and immunization records. Additional documents may be requested during the registration process.
How is the waitlist ordered, and who receives priority?
Our waitlist is ordered first with rollover students, then Open Enrollment students, and then Standard Enrollment students. Each group is prioritized as follows:
- Students of Staff
- Students of enrolled siblings
- Board Member students
- Active Military families
Can I transfer to Candeo Peoria?
Families may submit an application to transfer to Candeo Peoria. Transfer offers depend on seat availability and follow the same lottery/waitlist procedures when demand exceeds capacity.
What if I miss the Open Enrollment window?
You can still apply after Open Enrollment; applications are processed on a rolling basis as seats become available. If all seats are filled, your student will be placed on the waitlist.
What Kindergarten options does Candeo Peoria offer?
Candeo Peoria offers AM (morning), PM (afternoon), and Full-Day Kindergarten options. The half-day Kindergarten programs (AM and PM) are tuition-free. The Full-Day Kindergarten option is available for a tuition fee of $375 per month. Payments are due and automatically withdrawn on the first of each month.
What should I do when I receive an enrollment offer?
When an application reaches the top of the waitlist and a seat becomes available, families are contacted via email with an official enrollment offer. A response is required within 48 hours to accept or decline the offer. If no response is received within that time, the offer will be withdrawn and extended to the next student on the list.
Who do I contact for help with the application or enrollment?
